Book (&Hobby) Convention finds!

Hey there!

About a week ago I went to a book convention in Ghent that didn’t only sell books at a very cheap price, it also selled some Hobby and crafting stuff! It was the first time I went to a book convention and I didn’t really expect many hobby related things… But to my suprise they had quite a few! I took my mother along with me since she can always use some books as a Kindergarden teacher! The day turned out to be a lot of fun and I will definitely go again next time! :D Here are a few pictures of the lovely things that I found there!

IMG_0859
These stamps were the first thing I stumbled upon! How awesome are these? :D I really like the font! And that Little crab saying “I was a little crabby!” is just perfect! Although I like the “oops Garden gnoom” a lot to!

IMG_0865
I also found this little foam stamp box! They were very cheap… But I really liked the doodly kind of stamps like the diamond, cake, lightbulb,… I thought they were really cute for journaling, planner decorating,… I’m not sure when I’m going to have to use the “Bad boy, naughty,…” stamps any time soon though. :p I also found those pink flower clips that I thought were just lovely!

IMG_0867
Then here’s the stamp that I just couldn’t look away from! How absolutely gorgeous is this stamp? I love the details (the trunks and flowers,..) It’s a pretty big one.. Probably the biggest stamp I’ve ever bought! I think any “stamp lover” can appreciate this kind of stamp! :D When I found this one, my day was already made!

IMG_0869
These were the last stamps that I couldn’t look away from. I didn’t have any “transportation themed” stamps so I thought those little ones would come in handy! :D Too bad it didn’t have a plane though. :o The baby stamps were really cheap so I bought those aswell! It came with a long, small acryllic block, which I really wanted.

IMG_0871
Here’s a book that I found about Calligraphy! I really want to learn more about it, and thought this book could help me with that. :) It has really nice illustrations !

IMG_0874
THEN I found this… I saw a bunch of books with instructions on how to use different kinds of camera’s! I didn’t remembe what mine was called exactly so I immediately called home! First my grandma picked up, but she didn’t understand what it was I was looking for, so then my dad helped me. and yes! There was a book for my camera aswell! :D And that price! In case you’re wondering my camera’s the Canon EOS 700D ! I use it to take these pictures and film my videos :)

IMG_0881
I FOUND MARVEL STUFF. :D I was really happy when I saw this sticker book! I mean 1000 stickers! Me and my boyfriend really like Marvel! Currently we’re following the TV shows “Daredevil and Marvel’s agents of Shield”! I recommend both! We’re also hooked on the Marvel lego game. (I enjoy smashing things with the Hulk a little too much :p) I also found those Spiderman cards which I found really beautiful. :)

I am hereby ending this post! I’m very excited about all the lovely things I found. :D and glad I got to share it with you! For those of you who’re waiting for the “Paperdori DIY video”, don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten! :) Have a great day!

Small Hema Haul!

Hey there! :D I hope you guys (mostly girls though) had a great weekend!

My local hema store had been doing some rearrangements for the past weeks to add more crafting & stationery stuff. So every few days I couldn’t help but sneak a peak at what they’ve been adding to their stash! The worst part was that I could actually look into the stacked boxes and see all of the stationery things that I couldn’t buy yet. o.O Seriously…

BUT a few days ago it was finnaly finnished! :D I tried not to go over the top with what I would buy, so I only bought what I just couldn’t overlook! So here’s what I got in a full picture!

IMG_0883

On the right you can see I bought 6 cute colored clips! :D You know I love colors & colorcoding, and when I saw these, I obviously couldn’t resist! So yess, I took those along with me! underneath lay some cute colored pockets that you can stick wherever. :) I thought it might be usefull in the future! (especially the picture sized ones!!)

Now for some more pictures of the stamps&washi tape!

IMG_0885

There was this little box full with letter stamps with different fonts. Obviously, resistance was futile! :D In the picture above I stamped my alias name! :3 I’m really develloping a soft spot for wooden stamps lately (aside from my clear stamps love ofcourse!)

IMG_0884

This was another set of stamps! :D Aren’t they just lovely?! I love how it even has some cute quote stamps! And yess, that pineapple also won me over! Then for the final stamp set here they are:

IMG_0886

I especially love the cute banner thingy! That leaf frame is perfect too! :D so yess, I’m very happy with my new stamps additions! Now for the last part of the haul, here’s the washi tape I got!

IMG_0887

I actually tried ignoring the glitter washi tape for a few minutes, by just walking around the store… But for some reason my feet led me back to them each time! Aren’t they gorgeous? o.O I also really liked that other cute set! :D I have to be honest about this “Hema-trip” though. If I didn’t contain myself like I did, I might’ve gotten A LOT more stuff, but I feel kinda proud that I didn’t go overboard! ;D Plus, you have to admit, these finds are hard to ignore right?? :p

That concludes this “Small” Hema haul! :D I hope you have a good day!! bye!

DIY Happy Easter card!

IMG_0470

Hey there!

You must be thinking, “Jessica, are you posting 2 times a day now?”. Nope, it’s a coincidence! And there is only one explanation! I actually forgot to post my DIY easter card, and it would be silly to wait till After Easter right? I normally don’t forget these kind of things though. BUT this week was the game release of “Mario Party 10”, which my and my boyfriend waited for , for months! We might’ve played non-stop? (It’s SOOO MUCH FUN) It’s a game mostly based on luck, and then some skill in minigames. The only sad thing about it is… “I have the WORST luck!” We played hours in a row (the number might scare you :p), and I didn’t win once. It seems impossible. :'( Anyway!

NOW FOR THE DIY!

Here’s the materials you’ll need: Scissors, fork, cute scrapbookpaper, ribbon, glue, clear nailpolish, a pen and white paper!

IMG_0456

IMG_0459

  1. Make or fold your white card base (whatever size you like!)
  2. cut out some small eggs, whatever size and number.
  3. Glue the paper eggs on the white card front.
  4. Make some cute ribbon bows using a fork! I actually found this technique on pinterest! :o Check it here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/325455510546877272/
  5. Glue the bows on top of the paper eggs (I used crafting glue).

IMG_0460

  1. Finish it with a “Happy easter sentence”!
  2. DONE!

It is very simple to make! I had a lot of fun making them! ;) Tell me what you think about it!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY! :D

In the picture above you can see an overview of how she decorated her planner pages! It looks so colorful and sweet, doesn’t it? I can see she used some “Easter” stickers that fit very nicely. She also loves using Washi Tape when decorating her pages and did so here aswell! The cute colored polkadot Washi Tape fits so nicely!

An Easter Blog Hop With Jessica {heycharlieblog.com} 3

Take a look at this cute dashboard! She definitely made this especially for Easter. I love how she chose for a soft green one since it’s also spring right now. :) I really like this dashboard! Having a dashboard fit with special days like “Easter” or events or seasons really makes your planner unique.
